Flights route
Maun Airport (MUB) → Okavango Delta camp airstrips
The light-aircraft hop into delta camps — how every fly-in safari actually starts.
- Mack Air, Wilderness Air, Major Blue (charter pools)
- 20–45 min
- ≈ US$150–350 one-way (usually in camp package)
Delta camps land on dirt strips cut between the palms, and seat-rate charter pools (Mack Air and friends) shuttle guests between Maun and the camps all morning. Flights are sold as part of camp packages, shared with other guests, and stop at 2–3 strips per run. From Maun, the Delta is 30–60 minutes of flying instead of a full day’s 4×4 and boat shuffle.
Service classes
- Seat-rate charter
- Private charter
Booking information
Booked by your camp/operator with the package; seat-rate space is limited in July–October.
Good to know
Strict 20 kg soft-bag limit (wheels excluded); sit right-hand side for delta views on most routes. Maun is the safari capital — ATMs, provisions and the gateway airstrip.
