Flights route
Dar es Salaam (DAR) → Kilimanjaro (JRO)
The largest domestic carrier, with the most daily options.
- Precision Air
- 1.5 hours
- $90-170
Precision Air is Tanzania's biggest airline and flies the Dar-Kilimanjaro corridor two or three times a day, often continuing onward to Nairobi for Kenya connections. It is the default choice for travellers stitching together international arrivals, Zanzibar beach weeks and northern safaris in one itinerary. The fleet mixes Boeing 737s and ATR turboprops; the turboprop legs fly lower, which means better views of the Usambara and Pare mountains en route.

Booking information
Book at precisionairtz.com or at the Precision Air city office on Bridge Street. Fares drop outside the Jun-Oct peak; booking a week ahead usually beats walk-up prices by a third.
Good to know
Reconfirm 24 hours ahead - low-season schedule changes are common. Through-checked baggage from international arrivals works, but allow 2-3 hours to clear and re-check at DAR. Window seats on the left fly closest to Kilimanjaro.
Times and fares are curated guidelines, not a live timetable.
Always confirm before you travel.
